ROBERT A. HEINLEIN

Born July 7, 1907 (that's 07/07/07!) -- Died May 8, 1988

He served in the US Navy for a few years in the 1930s, but was discharged for medical reasons. His early years included a membership in socialist movements and some failed political campaigns, as well as a few years selling real estate. In 1964, he worked on Barry Goldwater's Presidential campaign.
